Reading v Southampton 10.02.06

The biggest crowd of the season (23,845) were at the Madejski Stadium to see Reading take on George Burley's Southampton.

Leroy Lita opened the scoring for the home side, when on 16 minutes he simply slotted home a neat cut back from Glen Little, who had dispossessed a hesitant Nathan Dyer.

Kevin Doyle doubled the score, controlling and drilling home  a long clearance from Marcus Hahnemann on  38 minutes. Reading went into half time 2-0 up, which after an uneventful second half, remained the winning score.
